The Story of The Coach Connection, LLC
(How our Mission came about and why it is so important today)
Bill Dueease created The Coach Connection (TCC) to make sure others would enjoy the same remarkable benefits from being coached by their own life coach like he has enjoyed for years, but much easier, much faster and at less cost than he did. Bill is living proof that life coaching works. He achieved his coachable goal of discovering and getting his “Ideal Income Position,” through being coached in 2000. He has been “Going to Play Every Day while calling it work” ever since as the President of The Coach Connection. The Coach Connection began operations on June 1, 2001. Yet, Bill really struggled to find a life coach who was a true life coach with the experience and motivation to coach Bill to success, AND who provided an excellent personal fit for Bill, and the coach. He had to go through
27 coaches over a 6 month period before he found an excellent life coach who was also his well matched coach. Bill started coaching with Thom Politico in 2000.
Further research revealed that even though the life coaching process works, it only works well when conducted under the four key conditions to successful coaching and that these facts were rarely known nor were they stressed in the coaching world. Instead, the coaching industry focused almost entirely on training coaches and on coaches “getting paid for coaching,” with very little emphasis on what’s best for clients. Bill used his insider connections in the coaching industry, he had been a business coach and the Membership Development Chairman of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) for over two years, to discover that most coaching clients also had difficulty finding their best coach, and they either gave up trying or accepted the wrong coach, resulting in very poor results. Bill actively spent over 500 personal man hours discussing coaching with the thousands of “coaches” within the ICF, the largest association of coaches at the time. Unfortunately, he he also found out that far too many people who called themselves “coaches” did not actually perform the true life coaching process that was designed and developed by Thomas Leonard. Amazingly, Bill calculated that only approximately 38% of coaching clients actually achieved their coachable goals.
Bill engaged his own life coach, Thom Politico to design and start The Coach Connection, LLC to achieve three goals:
Goal #1 Provide the best conditions to virtually guarantee client success through life coaching for anyone in the Engish-speaking world to connect with their ideal coach to achieve their coachable goals faster, more completely and at less cost than anywhere else. Thom was instrumental in defining and clarifying all of the very important aspects of the unique and very effective life coaching process developed by Thomas Leonard. Thom Politico had been personally coached by Thomas Leonard, had been personally selected and trained by Thomas Leonard to become an excellent coach, and had worked directly for Thomas Leonard as a trainer of coaches and a life coach for over 3 years.
Thom Politico became one of the co-founders of The Coach Connection so Thom and Bill could easily and clearly incorporate all of the key ingredients of the real personal coaching process that Thomas Leonard designed, tested and proved to be so practical and valuable to become the solid foundation of the personal coaching provided by Active Member Coaches of The Coach Connection. The approximately 96% success rate of TCC’s over 2,300 clients have further proved that Thomas Leonard’s personal coaching process is so fundamentally sound and so effective that it works almost very time, when conducted under the right conditions.
Goal # 2 Create the work conditions where Bill could “Go To Play Every Day” and get to call it work. Bill and Thom custom built The Coach Connection and Bill’s unique position in running TCC to fulfill Bill’s passions (Help others feel the wonders of achieving their own coachable goals) and priorities, (Be his own boss, and run his business on his own terms) maximize his talents (Reading and understanding people, telling the truth without hesitation, and organizing anything) follow his values (Operate in a positive human development field and run his business with the highest integrity) and avoid as many of his self imposed obstacles ash he can. (Avoid selling, avoid taking the spotlight, and avoid repetitive tasks) Bill finally discovered and created his own ideal income position through coaching with Thom Politico, with the development and ownership of TCC after struggling for over 17 years.
Goal # 3 Provide a place that will attract and keep the best real life, business, career, ADD and other coaches in the world, so they can practice their God given talents by being the best coaches for our clients and they can avoid having to self promote, and the other administrative, marketing, money handling and technical aspects of the business of life coaching.
